spring 2019 Tryouts
If you are looking to play at the highest level of AAU basketball while traveling to all the top showcase tournaments, the Mavericks are for you!
If you want to just play in local tournaments while playing for a great coach who will give you invaluable skills training that will make you better, then the Mavericks are also for you!
The Mavericks have some of the top 8th-11th grade teams in the region. Many of our players have offers from leading D1, D2, and D3 colleges. These players have been in the Maverick's program for multiple years; spending hours upon hours in extra skill sessions in order to earn the opportunity to play college basketball.
The Mavericks is a holistic program that invests in our players both on and off the court. In addition to skills and drills, we train both mind and body as we believe that it is our duty to not only take care of the athletes on the court, but off the court as well. We incorporate yoga, sports psychology, and weight training into out practice sessions. Some of the teams even had the opportunity to participate in a Navy SEAL training called "The Program," which was about mental AND physical toughness and resilience. This is so much more than basketball training—this is life training and our athletes are extremely well prepared for situations both on and off the court.
See you on the court,
Bob Pipe and the Mavericks team
